We face two problems in the nonprofit sector.
1) Knowledge of technology and efficient use of resources by charities. Charities rely on old ways of managing their programs and communicating with their community, while technology has advanced and today there are millions of internet users and 95% of the population have a 3G connection.
2) Trust and responsibility in relation to the activities of charities. People feel strongly that their charity money is potentially being wasted on questionable projects, golden salaries and transaction fees. Major scandals reduce the willingness to donate to charity by more than 55%, putting at risk the sustainability of the projects of many large charitable organizations.
Respons
We propose two main solutions.
1) Increase knowledge of technology and the Internet. We want to develop a series of videos, presentations and documents to educate charities on the best technology and digital solutions available to them. We also want to offer dedicated consultations to charities that we believe have a special need and have a strong impact.
2) Increase transparency and reduce fundraising costs. We want to make it easier to identify virtuous charities by assigning them a score based on the level of transparency regarding their projects, their results, their budgets. We also want to offer a free fundraising platform to charities without hidden fees or membership fees, so they can have more financial resources to invest in their main projects
